Multiburo and Startway become Mitwit
La Poste Immobilier, La Poste group's property company, unveils MWPI, its new coworking brand resulting from the merger of its two subsidiaries Startway and Multiburo. With this move, La Poste group consolidates its position in the coworking and office market as France's 2nd largest operator. Its ambition is to develop around 100 sites by 2030, with a local service offering that will enable it to become one of Europe's leading players in this market.
Mitwit, a network of almost 50 sites in France, Belgium and Switzerland
Mitwit Office is one of Europe's leading providers of flexible real estate solutions, with a dense territorial network resulting from the merger of Startway and Multiburo. With some 20 sites in the Ile-de-France region, 19 in other regions, as well as 5 in Belgium and 1 in Switzerland, MWPI is well established in the regions, close to train stations, and has a presence in a dozen major cities (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse, Nice, Brussels, Geneva, etc.), guaranteeing optimum accessibility for its customers.
A service-oriented, eco-responsible offering, embodying the values of La Poste group
Mitwit combines a dynamic entrepreneurial culture with a strong spirit of service. Mitwit's ambition is to create tailor-made workspaces and services, adapted to ecological and social transitions, offering comfort and well-being. It places flexibility and human relations at the heart of the customer experience, with a particular focus on customer welcome, service quality and networking opportunities. The new entity also embodies the strategic orientations and values of La Poste Group, in terms of proximity, territorial roots, services and responsibility. Mitwit's commitment to the eco-responsible transformation of commercial real estate is demonstrated by renovations that are as close as possible to existing buildings, to minimize environmental impact, while offering high-performance workspaces.
Among its new services, Mitwit is marketing a cybersecurity offering for small and medium-sized organizations in collaboration with Docaposte, the digital subsidiary of La Poste Group.
Mitwit, a highly European brand
A contraction of the German “Mit” and the English “With”, the MWPI brand is resolutely European, playing on the play on words “with” in both languages, in line with its ambitions for territorial development in Europe (particularly in Belgium and Switzerland). The M and W also represent the initials of the founding companies: the M for Multiburo and the W for StartWay.
A strategy in line with fast-expanding market trends
The coworking market in France, Belgium and Switzerland is experiencing rapid growth, stimulated by the rise of telecommuting and the growing demand for flexibility on the part of companies. By 2023, the coworking sector in France had grown by 20%, with demand particularly strong in major cities such as Paris, Lyon and Marseille. In Belgium and Switzerland, annual growth rates are 18% and 15% respectively.
Rémi Feredj, Managing Director of La Poste Immobilier and Director of Real Estate for La Poste Group, comments: “This merger and the resulting creation of a new subsidiary is strategic for La Poste Group, and will enable us to accelerate our development in the buoyant coworking market. MWPI's local presence in France and Europe, combined with a broad and diversified range of services, will enable us to rapidly establish ourselves with companies of all sizes, throughout France. Its opening onto Belgium and Switzerland also represents an opportunity for us to enrich our know-how at European level.
